 My Life in brief words


Hi! My name is Rodrigo Utrera. I born in 2002, at Viña del Mar. 

The first ten years of my life I lived in Valparaíso, with my mom, my dad, my big brother (that have seven years more than me) and my little brother (four years of difference). When I was eleven years old, I go to live, with my family, to Viña del Mar. Anyway, I studied all the elementary and high school in Valparaíso, at the "Seminario San Rafael" school. Today, I´m studing my first year of sociology in the University of Chile, in Santiago city. 


My interest are, first (and my passion) the politics. I´m in the chilean left. I like a lot the study of the socialist economy (cooperatives, self-management, democratic planning). In my free times I like to listen chilean and argentine rock, like Cerati, Charly García, Los Bunkers. Sometimes, of course, I listen to Quilapayún and Inti-Illimani.

    Hello! First of all, I have to say that I am a big fan of Cerati, both in his solo career and in Soda Stereo, also Spinetta and, especially, Sui Generis. My dream is to live in Valparaíso, I love the sea breeze. Greetings

    Hi Rodrigo! I must say that you have a good musical taste, although I am a bit critical of Argentine rock. As for Chile, I stay with the old Jaivas and Los Tres.

A Photograph and Its Story

  This photo is from Florianópolis, Brazil, at February, 2019. My dad took the photo. That day, we climb a tropical hill. Was some like one hour of climb. When we finish, we took some pictures of this beautiful landscape. One of the most beautiful photos of a hill´s top that I have. I don´t upload the photo to Instagram, or Facebook. I need to say that 2019 was a very difficult year. Mental health, anxiety, depression, some of that concepts was frecuently to me all that year. This picture represent to me the fight for achieve the stability, the mental peace, and find me again. Don´t was easy, but in that dificult path, I find a lot of great people. That climb day, and the photo, was like the day that after a lot of dificult years, I find again the real version of me. In one word, was about discover my identity.

  BLOG 5 - My favourite food My favourite food is the ravioli with bolognese sauce. I like the pastas in general, but the ravioli, specially when is stuffed whit ricotta and spinach. No one in my family do it, because we buy it in a traditional shop of Valparaíso, very old, but they never fail. Anyway, I know that you need to do the pasta first, with flour and egg´s, and after the stuffed with ricotta, parmesano and fresh spinach.  I like it a lot. The flavor, the combination of ingredients. And when I eat it, I remember my family, because always that we have an important event, like an achievement of one, a birthday, or another, we eat ravioli. For my birthday of 15 years, we eat the ravioli´s, despite that two weeks ago I did a stupid thing at the school, because I offended the institution with a photo, because I thought that the school was hypocrite about the values that it promoted. Anyway, I stayed at the school and it change a little about their educational practices....
